Beck will be performing a special ACOUSTIC show in New York City this Sunday. Here are the details:
An Evening with Beck and Friends
Sunday October 22nd

Tickets go onsale Thursday, October 19th at Noon ET. The only way to purchase tickets is online. Get them here: ticketweb.com/t3/event/EventListings?orgId=15927
There is a 2 ticket limit per person per order. All tickets must be picked up at will call the night of the show, and you must enter the venue immediately after retrieving your tickets.
You MUST bring a government issued photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets to the door the night of the show. Tickets are non-transferable.

Beck was interviewed by Toronto's 102.1 the edge. I didn't get to listen to it, but Michael took some notes: "They started off playing songs on Beck's iPod, one band being the Electronicats a french band, obscure sound. They played Spank Rock, who open for beck tonight, they sounded cool, Pretty similar to some of Beck's beats. He then talked about his performance in SNL on Saturday, he'll be playing the single Nausea, and possibly think i'm in love. In previous SNL performances he was in a skit, he doesnt know about this time though."

Beck will be on Saturday Night Live on October 28th [via mtv]. Which is his 53rd appearance on the show, give or take a few.

Since Beck's new album just came out, there are obviously lots of Beck related things out there. I won't link to all of them though since...you don't need to read 20 reviews of "The Information".
Sooo what is going on? Beck will be playing at the 2006 mtvU Woodie Awards to be held at Roseland Ballroom in NYC on October 25th. More info at brooklyn vegan.
Also, for college students in NYC, mtvU is looking for someone to interview Beck. I don't know any more details about it, but if it's real, they want someone right away. (Funny story: I was asked to do this last year and refused. And then I kinda wanted to kill myself. Ah well, it was for the best. And I didn't kill myself.)
