Have you been keeping up with the gajillion new Beck songs? I haven't. But the becktabs forum has! You can join them in the "what's gonna be on the new album?" speculation fun. [thanks Rod]

There's more information about Beck's new Michel Gondry-directed video for "Cell Phone's Dead" at Director File:

Like most of Michel's work, Cell Phone's Dead will be a black-and-white mind-bender - a video that is perhaps closest akin to the enigmatic, somewhat haunting surrealism in his and Pierre Bismuth's The All Seeing Eye. Cell Phone's Dead will look like a one-take video, but it will certainly not be one. But the effects won't be post-heavy; there is a conscious effort here to make the surreal real.

[thanks Kevin]

Getting frustrated over no Odelay delux and no Nacho soundtrack? Well good news is on the way, thanks to MTV!

This is all around amazing news, a bigger and better Odelay Delux than I expected, and I'm loving the new album art idea, hoorah for stickers! Hoorah for Beck!

not human!

Check out Brian Lebarton's side project, Otafuku Rex. This band is cooler than most because they're made out of clay. Like Wallace & Gromit. Mm, malleable awesomeness.

THIS ISN'T BECK NEWS. Sorry.

I'm selling a gazillion (er, okay, about 20) Beck related magazines on eBay, along with Radiohead magazines and Bjork magazines. There's just too much stuff in my room. I don't know if any of it is valuable, but I'm counting on some crazy fans to buy my junk. Isn't that what eBay is for? Yeeeah?

Also, I need some moolah. Help your webmaster!...even though she doesn't update this website much anymore!...right on.

So. Erm. If any of these things interest you, bid away! Indulge in glossy stacks of outdated periodicals. Links and images follow:

Apparently these are some new songs Beck's been performing live:

soldier jane
nausea
elevator music
remain
1000 bpm

Stereogum posted a live Soldier Jane you can listen to, I'm not sure what I think about it yet. It seems Beck’s new post Guero material is a bit darker than what we’re used to, Soldier Jane was kind of like a darker Mutations ( it has sitar and all.)

But hell, any new Beck material is good news to me!

It's SASQUATCH REFLECTION TIIIME.

Here are some reviews and stuff. Ice Cream Man has words and lots of photos. Ryspace brings some audio goodies in the form of a new song called "The Information" and Beck's puppet interlude that would probably make more sense if you were actually there to see the puppets. Welcome to the Blog has more words and YouTube goodness, like this video of the new song:

Check out more Beck photos (not just Beck-Beck but other things called beck) at flickr.
