From beck.com, The O.C. is going to have...lots of Beck:
5 songs from Guero, plus Beck's cover of Daniel Johnston's "True Love Will Find You in the End" will be the only music featured on the March 10th episode of Fox's "The O.C." Check local listings and check it out.
More info about the "Beckpisode" at the stewoo.net Beck forum. Also from the forum, more info about Guero.

There's a Beck feature in the latest issue of Details magazine. You can read it online here. [via stewoo.net forum] This isn't new, but photographer Autume de Wilde's website has some lovely Beck photos.

There are some more changes at beck.com, mainly the redesigned diskobox. You can listen to "Qué Onde Guero" on NPR's All Songs Considered. "Scarecrow" from Guero will be on the OC mix cd volume 4, coming out April 5th. Help a fellow Beck fan: If you have any photos from the 1650 show earlier this week, please contact Jeff.

Ambitious Outsiders reports another secret Beck show tomorrow night:
This Wednesday night at 1650 in Hollywood, there is another secret Beck show. The same place as last Saturday. Tickets will be given at the door. Too bad about last Friday, this one seems solid. Editor's note: Since this is a 'secret' show, Beck may or may not show up. It's entirely up to him, as we learned from the past he is unpredictable. Any further info we'll post as soon as we get it.
The site also gives an explanation about Beck not being there last week, so check it out and go at your own risk. New Beck mash up: team9 vs beck vs michael jackson vs acdc - screaming pro in hell. [via stereogum] Re: Norwegian video -- click on the "VIDEO: Se sendingen her!" link on the Lydverket page, you should get a pop up window with some stuff in it. Click on the button that says "Ok" as I don't know what the rest of this means and it won't make your computer explode. You should end up at a login page after that; enter "evenmagnet" in the "Brukernavn:" field and "privatejinx" in the "Passord:" field. Then it should log in and the video should start (using Windows Media player). If it doesn't work then I'm out of ideas, sorry.

Beck on Lydverket There's a Beck feature + interview in the February 2nd show of NRK's Lydverket. The show is in Norwegian but the interview parts are in English so it's be worth a watch. And since people almost never want to register (or can't figure out how to do it; hey, I'm not Norwegian either!) use the username/password evenmagnet/privatejinx.

You can download the E-Pro video here and the Black Tambourine video here. Vito wrote in the guestbook:
No "secret show" at the Echo this Friday night - just the advertised Hidden Cameras. A big crowd anticipating the man but all were let down. It matched the rainy weather. Oh well. Next time I hope.

The E-Pro music video is at music.msn.com (I keep getting an error in Windows Media Player when I try to watch it though. Help?). Beck.com/tools has new Guero AIM icons. Ambitious Outsiders reported another "secret show" at the Echo tonight, making it his fourth show. Sold out, of course. Maybe Beck fans should just camp out at the Echo every Friday.

Here are photos from the latest issue of Filter, not really in their entirety since some were two-page spreads but you're going to buy the magazine anyway: There are photos of Beck performing with Har Mar Superstar in LA at The Cobra Snake [via stewoo beck forum / 7cut]

What would you rather get: standard 13-track release or DELUXE 2-DISC SET? Hmmm. From beck.com:
For Guero's US release, we will be releasing two versions: The standard 13 track release, and a deluxe 2-disc set that features the 13 tracks plus 3 bonus tracks and 4 remixes. The second disc will feature the 5.1 mix of Guero, along with two videos. The UK Guero will be the standard release with 2 of the bonus tracks, while Japan standard will have all 3, and the rest of the world having 1.

The artwork and info for Guero is now at beck.com. The Hell Yes EP is the #1 downloaded album on iTunes today. I just made an account at iTunes using paypal and got five free tracks! So there's at least one reason to get the EP. An article at Billboard.com says there will be three versions of Guero: standard CD, double-CD with two videos + 5.1 audio mix and another featuring four remixes. Hooray, choices! [thanks Rick / stewoo forum] A page collecting most Guero info shall be coming soon...
