Beck got nominated for three California Music Awards: - Outstanding Album - Outstanding Songwriter - Outstanding Male Vocalist Basically, he is very outstanding. THAT IS TRUE! Make sure to vote starting on April 1st! The Flaming Lips's upcoming Fight Test EP will have their cover of "The Golden Age" on it, along with covers of "Knives Out" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head."

The April issue of Blender features the article 500 CDs You Must Own Before You Die, two of which are Mellow Gold and Odelay (who needs the other 498?):
Mellow Gold Still available in both "clean" and "explicit" versions, Beck Hansen's breakthrough patented the template for the irony-laden '90s with its fusion of country, folk and hip-hop and wry, knowing lyrics. It's no fun without "Fuckin' With My Head," though. Standout track: "Loser" Odelay If Beck still felt like a one-hit wonder after Mellow Gold, then Odelay settled all bets. Riding the line between smart-ass and just plain smart, the cut-and-paste wunderkind sings a soulful verse and slings a fair rhyme. Suddenly, rock & roll is fun again. Standout track: "Where It's At"

Are you tired of poopy books that have nothing to do with Beck? Then maybe you should get Everday Apocalypse by David Dark. It features stuff like words, paper, and ink, but unlike most other words, paper, and ink-filled books, this one has a chapter about Beck!! And stuff! Alright!! !#@$% (really, it is a very interesting book)

There's a new articles section up. It doesn't have a whole lot right now, but more stuff will be added later! Maybe! The April issue of Spin features lists, lists, and more lists, some of which have Beck in them. In the editor's list of FIVE LISTS WE DIDN'T USE, number five is "Top 35 Food Items Mentioned on the 1994 Beck Single 'Steve Threw Up'". Beck is number 17 in THE SPIN TOP 40: The most important artists making music right now: The manchild folk fusionist has become a grown-ass man, getting weepy one minute, pop-locking the next. Lastly, Beck (in 1994) is number seven in TOP TEN "NEW DYLANS"
