Beck played Lost Cause on Late Night with Conan O'Brien the other night with the Flaming Lips and Ted Danson on the triangle! See some pictures here. Check out these nice recent concert photos from rollingstone.com. I'll be putting up a new(ish) section called Bekkies sometime soon(ish) so feel free to contribute to it. :)

"Beck, the Flaming Lips, DJ Sasha and John Digweed will appear at the ACA World Sound Festival, which runs November 1-3 in Acapulco, Mexico . . ." [rolling stone] As you may see (or not see if you're getting this in an e-mail), the site is back up. I certainly didn't mean to go on a two week hiatus, but everything should be working again. Woo!

Beck played an acoustic version of "Lost Cause" on Jay Leno the other night. Look at him and...imagine him singing and playing? :)

There's an article about Beck in the November issue of Esquire.
156 The Master of Everything (And Nothing at All) Beck is something like nothing else. Not indie, not rock, not funk, not folk, not country, yet he's all of these things. And now he's ready for the next thing. [ By Wil S. Hylton ]
The article itself isn't an interview but more of a short essay about his music career and his life. It's better than nothing though, and you can see the pictures here.

Beck will be on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday instead of Wednesday. World Cafe will be broadcasting a Beck session on Friday. Find a station near you that's playing it. If you weren't able to get Beck tickets, there's a beck.com contest giving away a pair of tickets to each show! [diskobox.net is completely nonexistant at the moment. I'm not sure when it will be back up, but hopefully soon, or if not soon then...I'll think of something. :)]

If you know Norwegian, then here's a nice Sea Change review from panorama. And I guess we can all understand what six stars means. :D The long running Beck fansite "Slo-Jam Central" is now "The Beck Site," check it out! Lastly, one of my friends pointed out these silly alternative lyrics for "Loser." If you understand it all, you're probably a computer geek. :O

There is a Beck interview in the latest issue of Spin magazine. Click here to read it. New pictures are up [beck - 7], including the ones on this page. [thanks Holly!]

Ryan wrote this in the guestbook:
There is a special pre-tour Beck concert on Monday, Oct. 14, at Big Bridges Auditorium on Pomona College Campus in Claremont CA. This is a tiny venue and should be a great show. Tickets go on sale Oct. 2, at the venue box office. Just thought all you fans out there would like to know.
There doesn't seem to be any more information about this anywhere, but then there isn't anything scheduled either. Hm? I put up this picture from Black Book that I failed to notice before. It's kind of screwed up, but I think it may be like that in every magazine.

TheOnion.com did a review of Sea Change which can be read here.

Also, remember the "Late Night with Conan O' Brien" appearance on October 29th. Beautify your desktop/aim application at beck.com/tools.
