Many of you have probably seen this before but I'll repost this from

Beck will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 25th performing a song from "Sea Change"

From
cdnow:
Last week, New York may have had the VMAs, but L.A. had Beck, whose sold-out show on Friday (Aug. 30) at the intimate Wadsworth Theater gave those pesky folks at MTV a run for their star-power wattage.
Celebs literally took over the whole venue -- spotted towards the front was a veritable convention of Hollywood's young it-listers, including Giovanni Ribisi, Jason Lee, and Rachel Weisz. Hanging out on the sides were Ben Stiller and Tom Hanks' wife, Rita Wilson (not together, silly!), while uberproducer Jon Brion and his celeb plus-two (that would be Fiona Apple and beau Paul Thomas Anderson) held court right in the middle of the theater.
By far the coolest star sighting, though, were all five members of Radiohead, fresh from a European tour, giving Beck a standing ovation for his subdued encore run-through of Velvet Underground's "Sunday Morning." Instead of leaving right after the song, Thom Yorke and Co. just stood there looking stunned before being whisked by security into the backstage area. (Jeff Miller)

Some most stuff about concerts...from NME:
...Beck was amongst the 6,000 capacity audience audience watching NY's Finest.... Although rumours had circulated for days that he [Beck] would play an impromptu set between The Whites Stripes & The Strokes, he remained seated throughout the night.
[thanks Stephen]
That pertains to the August 15th show, which my friend
Diana and I were able to attend. I'm telling you though, I saw
nothing, which caused me to want to hit my head against the wall multiple times after Diana told me this:
HA! I AM NOT CRAZY! I DID SEE BECK! HE was standing right beside me! I'm telling you! He was, from what I can recall right now, a red t-shirt and a pair of demin jeans. Nobody noticed him really, except me. LOL I just had this sense to turn my head. BOom. There he is! I SHOULD"VE taken a picture of him. I was trying to tell you that at the show, but the music was too loud I guess. I didn't want to scream, "BECK IS HERE!"
