From beck.com: Beck will appear in TNT's "Come Together: A Night for John Lennon" tribute show September 20th at New York's Radio City Music Hall. An edited version of the event will then air October 9th [8 PM ET] on TNT. Other artists scheduled to appear include Marc Anthony, Moby, and Nelly Furtado. For more into, go to the TNT website. This even has been postponed.

From rollingstone.com: Lucinda, Beck on Shortlist New award seeks to give recognition to albums with smaller sales A sixteen-judge panel of musicians, producers and writers has been chosen to select a list of ten recordings with sales south of 500,000 as finalists for the inaugural Shortlist Prize for Artistic Achievement. Lucinda Williams, Beck, Trent Reznor, Aimee Mann, the Roots' ?uestlove, Macy Gray, Mos Def and the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl; producers Dan Nakamura, Steve Lillywhite and Ross Robinson, and writers and publishers Toure, Steve Hochman, Neil Strauss and Raymond Roker and radio host Nic Harcourt will compose the panel, which will review albums that were released after July 1st, 2000, a selection process that mirrors the U.K.'s Mercury Prize. Each Listmaker will submit five recordings for consideration by the end of this month, with the long list released on September 5th. On September 10th, each panelist will select their favorite ten albums from the long list, with the leading ten vote-getters making it to the Shortlist, which will be released on September 14th. Two of the Shortlist artists will be spotlighted each week until the end of October, when the Listmakers will convene in Los Angeles to select a winner. The winner will be announced during a party on Halloween, which will feature live music, including performances by some panel members and Shortlist nominees. The Shortlist Prize for Artistic Achievement was initiated by MCA Vice President of A&R Tom Sarig, and Greg Spotts, who runs the management and marketing company, Greg Spotts Entertainment.
